    As a Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to implement and integrate new and innovative technologies, onsite and remote, from planning to close out with our clients, ranging from productivity tools to security to environment modernization. You will manage anywhere from 4-8 projects at one time, in varying phases and complexity, help support your colleagues with technical escalations and advisement, and part of your job is to continuously research and improve your knowledge base of modern and new technologies.     YOU ARE A SKILLFUL COMMUNICATOR WHO ADVOCATES FOR WHAT IS BEST for a client technically and thinks through how different decisions will impact a client’s business and isn’t afraid to tell a client when something is not a good idea for their business, tactfully and presenting other options. You practice active listening to ensure you understand the real issue or problem. 

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES MAY INCLUDE: 

    Within the first 30 days and ongoing: 

    • Learn AMC Modern IT’s mission and core values. Learn the processes, procedures, and services for how AMC utilizes the Microsoft technology stack to help support our clients. 

    • Review documentation for client projects including internal process templates, asking questions that show understanding & learn how the Project Team tracks and logs project hours. 

    • Review 1-2 client project scopes with manager and begin working and implementing proposed solution or program. 

    By the 3rd – 4th month mark and ongoing: 

    • Continue learning the intricacies within the Microsoft enterprise stack by through LinkedIn learning courses, own research, hands on learnings, reviewing internal documents and exploring systems. 

    • Own 2-3 on site client projects with a mentor, and has full understanding of scope, timeline, budget, and resources. 

    • Is Microsoft 365 certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Certificate. Has completed Microsoft Windows 10 (MD-100) and MD 101 Managing Modern Desktops as part of a Microsoft 365 platform and is actively working on role-based Microsoft Azure certification path. 

    By the 6th month mark and ongoing: 

    • Independently own 3-5 on site and infrastructure projects at one time, based on skill level identifying technology risks and recommending changes.  

    • Complete MS 500 certification. 

    • Collaborate with Sr Project Engineers and Modern Architect when escalations occur to quickly address problems and push the project forward.  

    • Update workplan templates with newly learned steps or links to technical how-to articles. 

    By the 12th month mark and ongoing: 

    • Independently own 8-10 on site and remote projects client projects, engaging with clients through scheduled kickoffs and status meetings.  

    • Complete 95% of client projects on budget and on time with zero project fallout issues.  

    • In partnership with manager, review training and development plan based on interests and continues to develop growth path.  

    EDUCATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: 

    • 3 years’ related experience deploying enterprise IT projects and/or solutions required; experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment a plus 

    • CompTIA Network Certified required 

    • Proven understanding of cyber security measures, such as multi-factor authentication, Cloud App security, data loss prevention, end point protections, Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory and other remote management and automation tools required 

    • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365 Enterprise E5 & Azure Windows Virtual Desktop experience or Microsoft Remote Desktop Services required 

    • Proven understanding of DNS, networking, (TCP/IP), routing, firewall & router management required 

    • Working experience in managing of Azure network, Azure architecture, Azure sentinel, DevOps work, and Virtual Memory System (VMS) preferred 

    • Demonstrated experience trouble shooting M365 security including cloud app security, data protection, data loss protection, or information protection a plus 

    • Demonstrated ability to research unknown or unfamiliar technology and analyze the potential application and present findings and an implementation plan required  

    • Valid Driver’s License and insured Motor Vehicle required 

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information sciences, or related field preferred
