We are seeking a Project Manager to be a part of our innovative and focused Project Management Team dedicated to providing an “unmatched client experience” as part of the delivery of projects.
You will be part of our leadership team for a large-scale, logistically complex technology refresh program for a large K-12 client.
The position is based in Hauppauge, LI and will require travel into the five boroughs.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years’ experience in the technology industry and have a clear understanding of the complexity of managing logistically complex projects in enterprise environments using Cisco infrastructure wired and wireless solutions. In addition, this Project Manager must demonstrate clear ownership of the project from kick off to closeout. Availability to work nights and weekends during cutovers is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage multiple/simultaneous projects from beginning to end, taking complete ownership of the projects, and ensuring the project meets all required SLAs
· Implementing all project processes & procedures, and deliverables that support business processes in collaboration with other Custom and Customer stakeholders.
· Change control management
Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
· Clearly, concisely and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
· Risk management and escalation
· Ability to draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
· Ensure services are delivered in accordance with contract requirements
· Meet all Program SLA’s
· Some nights and weekends will be required during cutover
QUALIFICATIONS
· 5 years of proven prior project Management experience managing multiple/simultaneous IT infrastructure projects
· Strong analytical skills and the ability to audit large amounts of data
· Ability to “turn-on-a-dime” when program priority changes
· Knowledge of Cisco Switching and Wireless, Communications, MS Platform such as Exchange, Servers, and other backend server infrastructure
· Project management delivery tools and best practices – PMBOK or ITIL.
· Extensive experience using Microsoft Project/Office/Visio
· Strong written, oral communications and interpersonal skills
· Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification preferred
· Bachelor’s Degree preferred
· Capable of traveling to and from project sites for attending client, project and site survey meetings in Long Island and the Five Boroughs
