Project 216 is seeking a part-time Event Manager to lead our food packing events. The ideal candidate will be a reliable and energetic self-starter, have a passion for ending world hunger, be able to communicate clearly and easily to crowds of 100 people, be an excellent delegator, possess basic computer skills, have the ability to spend several hours at a time on one’s feet, be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and be comfortable driving a box truck. (No CDL required.) Hours will be varied but consist mainly of weekends.
Project 216 is a non-profit humanitarian food aid organization with the mission to show God’s love by empowering our community to provide highly nutritious food to people suffering from hunger around the world. Our events are hosted by local churches, schools, businesses, and other organizations who desire to make a difference with their time and treasure. Members of these organizations raise funds to purchase food ingredients and then pack the ingredients into family-size packs at an assembly linestyle event. Project 216 delivers all necessary ingredients and supplies to the event site, trains the event host’s volunteers on how to pack the food, organizes set-up and tear-down for the event, and facilitates distribution of food to hungry and malnourished people locally and around the world with the help of our distribution partners.
Project 216 events are fun, high-energy, multi-generational events where ordinary people make a real difference in the lives of those who are suffering from hunger and undernourishment.
