Pay: $80,000-$100,000 BOE
Summary:
The Northern Plains Railroad, Inc. (NPR) d.b.a. Northern Plains Rail Services (NPRS) and other affiliated companies IT Manager position will lead our IT Team and ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of IT services and solutions. This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the IT resources and infrastructure of NPR, as well as overseeing the IT projects and initiatives that support the business goals and objectives of NPR.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities but are not limited to:
Manage and supervise the IT staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, and development.
Design, implement, and maintain the IT policies, procedures, and standards that align with the best practices and industry regulations.
Monitor and evaluate the performance, availability, and security of the IT systems, networks, and applications, and troubleshoot and resolve any issues or incidents.
Manage the IT budget and allocate the IT resources and assets efficiently and effectively.
Coordinate and collaborate with other departments and external partners to identify and meet the IT needs and requirements of the business.
Lead and oversee the IT projects and initiatives, from initiation to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Research and evaluate new technologies and solutions that can enhance the IT capabilities and performance of the company.
Provide technical guidance and support to the IT staff and the end-users and ensure the proper documentation and reporting of the IT activities and outcomes.

Physical Demands:

Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT Manager or a similar IT leadership role.
Strong knowledge and skills in IT management, administration, and support, including IT systems, networks, applications, security, and cloud computing.
Ability to lead and motivate the IT team and collaborate with other stakeholders.
Ability to adapt to changing business needs and priorities, and to learn and apply new technologies and solutions.
Relevant IT certifications are a plus.
