IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages the organization's strategic technology vendor management program to meet company needs and comply with required quality standards. Assists with selecting the company's product and service providers and tracks the procurement of IT products and services to monitor and maintain operational costs and budgets. Being an IT Vendor Relationship Manager leads request for proposals (RFP) process to vet the reputation and quality of vendor products. Negotiates service level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are clearly defined. Additionally, IT Vendor Relationship Manager works closely with internal teams to monitor, maintain, and improve existing vendor relationships. Conducts regular business reviews to ensure compliance with company expectations, review issues, and develop solutions. May require experience with software licensing and hardware procurement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Requirements/Qualifications:
    • Four-year college degree and/or significant related work experience.
    • Experience leading projects in both scrum and waterfall methodologies, as well as developing roadmaps and enforcing support models with core business platforms.
    • Prior management experience of 10 or more staff preferred.
    • ITIL certified preferred. Certification will be required within 120 days of starting.
    • Series 99 or equivalent preferred. Certification will be required within 120 days of starting.
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of software lifecycles, change management and quality assurance methodologies.
    • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to communicate business and technical jargon to both parties, in person and over the phone.
    • Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work successfully with a variety of personalities and various management levels.
    • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
    • Highly self-motivated and self-directed.
    • Ability to travel as needed with advance notice.
    • Ability to be on-call during planned maintenance windows across core platforms and infrastructure.
    • Follow policies and procedures. Maintain client confidentiality.
    Duties:
    • Provide daily operational oversite and continuity of the IT Application Support team. This includes the management of personnel and processes.
    • Work closely with company business units to ensure that the business needs are understood and that prioritized incidents and requests are resolved and presented in a timely manner.
    • Assist in the management and maintenance of core applications leveraging IT and business stakeholders to communicate through existing channels.
    • Facilitate conversations and develop business requirement documentation for business and IT requests.
    • Work with software and hardware vendors to develop a pipeline of enhancements and changes impacting vendor and internal resources.
    • Maintain and enforce standards across the department processes and procedures.
    • Work with Associates to achieve department and individual goals through certifications and the maturity of the platforms that are supported.
    • Assist in the implementation and support of any information technology related projects, assets, procedures, or applications.
    • Helping to develop and work with business stakeholders and IT staff to build-out and maintain application roadmaps
    • Identify and pursue automation opportunities that optimize daily processes across the department.
    • Manage and oversee employee performance, growth and training plans, and employee goal setting
    • Perform any other duties as assigned.

    The potential base pay hiring range for this role is $75,000 - $90,000. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate.
