IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages the organization's strategic technology vendor management program to meet company needs and comply with required quality standards. Assists with selecting the company's product and service providers and tracks the procurement of IT products and services to monitor and maintain operational costs and budgets. Being an IT Vendor Relationship Manager leads request for proposals (RFP) process to vet the reputation and quality of vendor products. Negotiates service level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are clearly defined. Additionally, IT Vendor Relationship Manager works closely with internal teams to monitor, maintain, and improve existing vendor relationships. Conducts regular business reviews to ensure compliance with company expectations, review issues, and develop solutions. May require experience with software licensing and hardware procurement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Vendor Relationship Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     POSITION SUMMARY

    The Vendor Product Manager will be assisting with the various tasks related to the management of our vast line card of products and technologies, processing of products and technologies added through M&A (e.g. relaunches, onboardings, and consolidations). The salary for this position is $65,000 (negotiable based on experience).

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Report to the Director of Product Innovation to help execute strategic vision and success metrics for department initiatives
    • Own select vendor relationships, product and technology review with existing vendors, pricing review, seek MDF and rebate opportunities, etc.
    • Assist with maintaining the delivery of initiatives brought on by Integrations Team through M&A, including product relaunches, new product onboardings, product consolidations, and product end-of-life strategies
    • Collaborate with the various departments and hand off initiatives as a result of line card management/changes

    DESIRED SKILLSET/EXPERIENCE

    • 5 years working in a technical environment (e.g. service, implementation, provisioning, projects or project management, etc). Client Strategy experience is a plus
    • Proven experience as a Technical Account Manager or relevant position
    • MSP experience (Preferred)
    • Experience working with vendors/distributors who have technical product offerings such as TD Synnex, PAX8, Acronis, Auvik, ThreatLocker, SentinelOne, ConnectWise and ScalePad.
    • Motivated and collaborative attitude
    • Exceptionally clear oral and written communication skills that can stretch across creative, technical, and business forums
    • Superb ability to prioritize tasks and initiatives, set expectations, and meet deadlines
    • Organized and principled thinker with the ability to cut through complexity to help roll out clear frameworks and scalable solutions
    • Strong foundational understanding of how MSP's operate and deliver core services, the various clients they work with, and the various partners they team up with to deliver products/services
