IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages the organization's strategic technology vendor management program to meet company needs and comply with required quality standards. Assists with selecting the company's product and service providers and tracks the procurement of IT products and services to monitor and maintain operational costs and budgets. Being an IT Vendor Relationship Manager leads request for proposals (RFP) process to vet the reputation and quality of vendor products. Negotiates service level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are clearly defined. Additionally, IT Vendor Relationship Manager works closely with internal teams to monitor, maintain, and improve existing vendor relationships. Conducts regular business reviews to ensure compliance with company expectations, review issues, and develop solutions. May require experience with software licensing and hardware procurement. What will you be doing as a Vendor Relations Manager?
· Creates marketing and sales initiatives that support the Kenilworth Group’s business objectives. Evaluates marketing and sales initiatives objectively from a market and financial standpoint. Supports development of programs, promotions, vendor class training, and other advertising means in support of launching products in the marketplace. Communicates with markets, inventory team and management when implementing promotions, programs, and product rollouts.
· Plans and manages the product life cycle for the assigned categories including developing strategic focus calendars, activities, and collaborating with supply chain team to lead product launch strategies.
· Manages, cultivates, and maintains relationships with external vendors. Collaborate with Johnstone Supply JST Product Managers on vendor initiatives and associated product promotions.
· Analyzes and defines assigned product segment market for purposes of developing a marketing plan. Considers total market size, company market share, competitor market share and trends within the market. Keeps abreast of market influencers.
· Partners with and prompts discussions with Vendors to identify partnership goals and methods to promote products in collaboration with supply chain team.
· Partners with Market Managers, Sales Ops Leaders, and Branch Managers to visit customers for the purpose of developing and implementing programs.
· Collaborates with Technical Support and Training Team, Markets, and other personnel through sharing knowledge, literature maintenance, and providing product information.
· Performs other duties as assigned and assists with any other projects, as needed, that will further the Kenilworth Group’s business objectives.
