IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages the organization's strategic technology vendor management program to meet company needs and comply with required quality standards. Assists with selecting the company's product and service providers and tracks the procurement of IT products and services to monitor and maintain operational costs and budgets. Being an IT Vendor Relationship Manager leads request for proposals (RFP) process to vet the reputation and quality of vendor products. Negotiates service level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are clearly defined. Additionally, IT Vendor Relationship Manager works closely with internal teams to monitor, maintain, and improve existing vendor relationships. Conducts regular business reviews to ensure compliance with company expectations, review issues, and develop solutions. May require experience with software licensing and hardware procurement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. WEDI has an opening for a Relationship Manager position, to be filled by the end of the spring. WEDI’s Relationship Managers (RMs) guide both prospective and current small business owners through our Microloan program. RMs regularly communicate with applicants and borrowers to ensure utilization of WEDI’s technical assistance services. By building a relationship founded on trust, RMs work to promote access to capital for previously underserved and underbaked small business owners. The position is well-suited for those looking to combine entrepreneurial skills with excellent customer service and inclusive community development.
WEDI currently maintains a hybrid work setting, with a minimum of two days a week expected to be spent “on-site”. The work schedule is flexible and can be discussed with the Loan Program Manager (i.e. 9AM-5PM Mon-Fri is not required). Attendance at occasional small business events outside of the standard work schedule is expected. A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, and/or political science is preferred. Other majors related to social sciences or public policy will be considered.
