IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages the organization's strategic technology vendor management program to meet company needs and comply with required quality standards. Assists with selecting the company's product and service providers and tracks the procurement of IT products and services to monitor and maintain operational costs and budgets. Being an IT Vendor Relationship Manager leads request for proposals (RFP) process to vet the reputation and quality of vendor products. Negotiates service level agreements to ensure performance/quality metrics, responsibilities, expectations, and penalties are clearly defined. Additionally, IT Vendor Relationship Manager works closely with internal teams to monitor, maintain, and improve existing vendor relationships. Conducts regular business reviews to ensure compliance with company expectations, review issues, and develop solutions. May require experience with software licensing and hardware procurement. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Vendor Relationship Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Vendor Relationship Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. As a Relationship Manager II within PNC's Vendor Finance organization, you will be based in Horsham, Pennsylvania.

    *Successful candidate will have 5 years inside sales and support experience specifically in the inventory finance, vendor/equipment finance, and leasing space. Other experience can include familiarity with DataScan technology, typically used in inventory finance.

    Job Description

    • Coordinates relationship management activities with existing clients to ensure client retention, risk management and revenue growth. Typically works with clients with moderate levels of risk and complexity of needs. Generally works with a moderate degree of supervision.
    • With modest oversight, handles the origination, negotiation and documentation of credit and non-credit products and services. Prepares approval documents using judgment and guidance from manager to identify risks and mitigants, and analyze credit, collateral strength, and financial worthiness of loan/transaction parties. Within stated guidelines effectively manages risk/return and drive quality for existing clients, actively identifying and mitigating different types of risk, such as regulatory, reputational, operational and credit risks.
    • Works within stated guidelines to expand and retain client relationships to generate revenue and deepen share of wallet. Focuses on client retention strategies and providing ideas and insights based on an understanding of the client's needs and their financial well-being. Focuses on increasing client engagement and loyalty.
    • Building and maintaining an effective network of internal and external relationships, such as community and industry relationships, to enhance the client experience. Focuses on bringing entire bank to the client by presenting the full range of PNC's products and services.
    • With significant oversight and direction as applicable, negotiates workout options with customers to reduce risks and losses. Works with internal and external business partners and borrowers to better secure collateral coverage.

    Financial Engineering – Knowledge of and ability to utilize the tools, techniques, and practices for creating a mix of financial instruments that will leverage a client's financial resources to an acceptable level of risk.

    Regulatory Environment - Financial Services – Knowledge of and ability to help an organization adapt to applicable federal, state, local, and company-specific regulations, policies, and guidelines affecting business practices.

    Work Experience

    Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 5 years of industry-relevant experience. Specific certifications are often required. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
