Job Responsibilities/Duties
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) seeks an IT Support Specialist to provide IT support in the areas including, but not limited to Windows operating system and software applications. The individual will troubleshoot issues, sometimes interfacing between the site IT provider and WRPS employee, to provide guidance on solutions and answer questions as it relates to IT. The IT Support Specialist is responsible for following WRPS guidelines when installing, updating, troubleshooting and removing standard and non-standard software that is approved for use.
The IT Support Specialist responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
- Based on requests from the Legal department, preserve hard drives of selected exiting employee's computers when they leave.
- Assists in software registration – HSRB, SECB, HISI software grade and registration.
- Interface with Information Resource Management (IRM) and Operational Services Management (OSM) to answer questions and provide information from a technical perspective.
- Interface with appropriate contacts at site IT service provider to relay advanced requests or advanced issues.
- Review administrative account requests and vet for legitimacy and make recommendations accordingly.
- Review (for allowable purchases) and approve Automated Data Processing (ADP) orders for CIO office.
- Serve as Admin for ADP application and monitor ADP mailbox for questions from users.
- Oversee all computer hardware inventory for new employees and administer WRPS computer refresh program.
- Develop monthly metrics for ADP ordering to track types and numbers of items ordered as well as how many forms were entered and where they came from (200W, 200E, etc…).
- Provide monthly metric to OSM and IRM regarding work performance.
- Review billing for users with email on personally owned devices versus stipends to keep alignment of services.
- Interfaces with cybersecurity to identify and resolve issues or concerns or provide input on WRPS' behalf.
- Take on management of projects with site IT service provider as necessary or as a special assignment.
- Periodic review of administrative access to ensure compliance.
- Assists in supervising employees and acting in a lead role for the IT Support group of WRPS.
- Mentor and guide team members.
- Delegate and assign work to team members.
- Use advanced knowledge of role and technical expertise to offer suggestions and provide solutions.
- Assist in annual performance reviews and discussions on career planning.
- Complete understanding of the applicable company policies and procedures and local, state and federal regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Grade 18:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Information Technology or other related degree and Eight (8) years of experience in performing activities typical to IT technical support to include leadership experience, or equivalent education and/or experience.
Grade 19:
Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Information Technology or other related degree and Nine (9) years of experience in performing activities typical to IT technical support to include leadership experience, or equivalent education and/or experience.
Note the essential duties for this grade level are like that of the previous grade level, however the scope of responsibility is significantly larger, and the expected level of performance is greatly increased.

Hiring Range Minimum: $104,175
Hiring Range Maximum: $131,425
Grade 19:
Hiring Range Minimum: $114,475

In accordance with the company's philosophy on compensation for exempt and salaried non-exempt employees, WRPS takes into consideration a variety of factors when determining initial salary to include assigned job scope and responsibility, a candidate's qualifications as compared to internal comparators performing in a similar role, and the external labor market. A salary offer will be made within the targeted hiring range posted. Note a candidate's prior salary history will not be taken into consideration.
