Import/Export Clerk jobs in Saint Louis, MO
Import/Export Clerk supports import and export operations, including shipment logistics, documentation, and customer service. Conducts audits to verify physical shipments accuracy using bills of lading, invoices, and other documents. Being an Import/Export Clerk identifies and records any discrepancies. Prepares, distributes or processes documentation to ensure required documents are in place and correct. Additionally, Import/Export Clerk coordinates and communicates with customers, agents, vendors, and shippers to maintain process flows and resolve issues. Performs data entry of shipping and cargo details into systems following required procedures. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Import/Export Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. HOW THIS POSITION SUPPORTS THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
This position will be a customer service and technical position that will review and process a variety of documents and applications related to driver licensing, motor vehicle, trailer, and marine craft transactions. This will be a temporary position, located at the Troy Temp License Office.
Starting pay will be $16.00/hourly.
DUTIES PERFORMED TO SUPPORT THE DEPARTMENT’S VISION:
- Must possess the ability to search computerized records and files accurately.
- Must be able to communicate the requested information to customers either in person or on the telephone.
- Must be able to process requests concerning all phases of motor vehicle transactions.
- Must also have the ability to process complex work with dedication.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess a high school diploma or high school equivalency certificate.
- Must have six or more months of experience in clerical or general office support work.
- Prior Motor Vehicle and/or driver license fee office experience preferred.
