So what's the role?

Universal Presentation Concepts (UPC) is looking to hire an experienced Industrial Designer to join our team at our Madison, WI facility to create new retail store fixtures and point of purchase (POP) displays.

What will my day look like?

Based on customer requests, you will engineer new products and update our existing products. You will turn ideas and drafts into technical plans for prototype builds. From there, we work as a team to turn the concept into a working model for our production team. Along the way you will report your progress to project managers and clients throughout the process.

You will also work closely with the production team with all new products to ensure success upon roll out.

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

• 5 years of industrial product design and engineering experience
• 5 years of mechanical engineering experience
• Proficiency with computer-aided design software, AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Proven ability to create 2D and 3D renderings.
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
• Experience with furniture, cabinets, retail displays, or merchandising would be a huge plus.

What will my schedule look like?

This is a salaried role generally working office hours Monday-Friday 8a-5p. Salaried team members at UPC are expected to contribute a minimum of 45 hours each week.
