Industrial Project Engineer

This position is responsible for the management of engineering and technical projects for 3PL automotive supplier.  Develop work cells/plant layouts and lead continuous improvement projects.  Supports process development, standardized work instruction and process improvements.  Prepare charts, graphs or diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, or machine utilization.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Must have at least 2 years functional experience in a project management role.
• At least 5 years’ experience with an automotive supplier.
• Demonstrated knowledge of CAD systems.
• Production floor Six Sigma project capability.
• Ability to identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement; process flows and evaluations – in plant (Kaizen) required.
• SMP Audits, FMEA control plans, flow charts
• Must be proficient in Excel, Access Databases, Visio and PowerPoint.
• Blueprint reading
• Solid problem-solving skills
• Must possess good customer interfacing skills.

Education Desired:    

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology
