Industrial Engineering Manager jobs in Buffalo, NY

We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager that will oversee daily operations of the accounting department and ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurate and timely.

Responsibilities Include:

• Analyze ledger account balances monthly and perform monthly close out
• Analyze current processes and develop methods or procedures that improve efficiency
• Develop annual budgets
• Evaluate overhead calculation by department annually and regularly monitor overhead costs
• Collaborate with Project Managers to develop construction project cost tracking and report variances monthly
• Monitor monthly financial variance analyses and manage the communication of account fluctuations
• Evaluate and enhance financial systems and process to streamline operations and improve efficiency
• Work closely with IT department to implement process improvements
• Develop procedures and train including coach, mentor and develop staff
• Ensure financial records align with company policies and government regulations
• Assist with cash management and banking relationship
• Prepare for and coordinate external audits, providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries
• Special projects as assigned
• Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable as needed
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, finance or other related field. An equivalent amount of directly applicable work experience may substitute for education.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in an accounting manager or similar leadership role in accounting/financial functions
• CPA and/or CCIFP preferred
• Experience in the construction industry preferred
