About our Interview Process:

The successful candidate will be asked to meet with the Metal Shop Team to see the job and understand expectations.

Job Summary:

• Reads and understands blueprints
• May prepares metal shop products for welding including pre cuts, rolling, and marking laser cut materials and precutting pipe
• Utilizing hand tools and grinders
• Distinguishing varying thicknesses of metal materials
• Uses sandblaster to smooth metal imperfections and clean product as needed
• Works with department leadership and plant manager on any product inconsistencies to assure appropriate build
• Performs clean up activities as needed post welding

Education/Technical Training:

1 year of related experience in metal fabrication/prep highly recommended. Qualified candidates will have a team mentality and be mechanically inclined.

Job Specific Physical Demands:

This position requires:

• Continuous standing and movement
• Bending and stooping occasionally
• Lifting up to 40 pounds manually
• Ability to continuously work in an industrial setting with temperature variations
• Push and pull using a hand truck
• Repetitive hand motion, twisting, and arm motion
• Occasional reaching above and below the waist level
• Ability to read a tape measure

Schedule:
Standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm with occasional overtime.
