Industrial Hygienist jobs in Newark, NJ
Industrial Hygienist coordinates, plans and conducts programs to educate employees about cleanliness, safety and sanitation in the workplace. Inspects facilities and work areas to prescribes corrective actions to reduce the health risks. Being an Industrial Hygienist provides advice on methods and procedures to reduce occupational health risks. Determines measures to avoid any recurrence of accidents. Additionally, Industrial Hygienist evaluates facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promotes maintenance of a sanitary working environment. Conducts training in environmental compliance and the handling of hazardous materials. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor/manager. The Industrial Hygienist contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. If you're looking for a well-established practice with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere and provide high-quality oral care, then Jersey City Dental Center is the perfect fit for you. We take pride in our work and strive to build long-lasting relationships with our patients and their families.
Schedule
- Monday/Wednesday 8am - 5pm
- Tuesday 8am - 8pm
- Thursday 8am - 7pm
- Potential for 1 Friday a month from 8:30am - 2:30pm

Job Requirements
- MUST BE A LICENSED NJ HYGIENIST
- 2 years of experience preferred
- Be willing to learn new things
- Able to educate patients on oral hygiene
- Be ready to provide adjunct services like Arestin, whitening, etc.
- Prefer experience in scanning but will accept willingness to learn intra-oral scanning
- Friendly and professional and great at small talk
