Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Scientist focusing on Industrial Hygiene and Safety Services in the greater San Francisco Bay Area, California area will include:

• Perform Asbestos, Lead-Paint, Microbial, Safety and Compliance assessment and abatement oversight projects with an approximate 75/25 mix of field and office duties.
• Execute tasks in support of EHS programs under direction and guidance from program managers and business partners. The work may include: inventories, program audits, training logistics, data collection, follow up on corrective actions, recordkeeping, researching requirements, and general administrative support and EHS program coordination.
• Gather, interpret, and analyze laboratory data.
• Draft grammatically correct, clearly written and technically competent client-ready reports for senior review.
• Assist with compliance assurance audits, including data collection, employee interviews, area walkthroughs and researching products, best practices and regulatory requirements.

• 2-5 years of experience performing asbestos, lead-based paint, and microbial assessment surveys and abatement oversight.
• Current Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) and California Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) or Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) accreditation
• Self-motivated, reliable professional able to work effectively with limited direct oversight.
• Strong interpersonal skills critical to collaborative professional environment.
• Strong critical analysis and technical writing skills.
• Strong math and analytical skills, essential for data management, interpreting laboratory analytical results, and report preparation.
• Physically fit and equally adept at office and fieldwork.
• Excellent attention to details and ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines.
• Safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
• BS in related scientific field.
• Professional interest in growing and expanding career to support related industrial hygiene and safety consulting services.

Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 annually depending on experience and qualifications.
