Sims Pest Control is seeking a full time Termite and Encapsulation Technician to join a team of professionals dedicated to high quality pest control services in the Albany, GA area.

Our Wood Destroying Organisms Department is responsible for several things:

• Inspecting for termites and other wood destroying organisms
• Performing liquid termite treatments underneath and around homes.
• Installing termite bait stations around homes.
• Installing vapor barriers in crawl spaces.
• Installing dehumidifiers in crawl spaces.
• And more.

Your Job Responsibilities

• Perform common termite control tasks such as trenching soil around and under homes, operating a hammer drill around and under homes, and operating a gas auger to install termite bait stations around a property.
• Inspect crawl spaces, interiors, exteriors, and attics for termites and other wood destroying organisms.
• Install plastic vapor barriers in crawl spaces underneath homes.
• Install dehumidifier units in crawl spaces underneath homes.
• Complete inspection reports and communicate findings to our customers.
• Communicate sales opportunities to customers when needs are discovered.
• Perform common pest control tasks such as inspection, identification, solution planning, plan execution, and results monitoring.
• Partner with customers to get rid of a diverse range of pests including: roaches, ants, spiders, fleas, bed bugs, mice and rats, termites, and more.
• Carefully document products used in compliance of local, state, and federal law.
• Receive continuing education with Sims Pest Control policies and techniques as well as state credited training.

More Details:

• Route territory will include much of southwest Georgia – roughly a 60-90 mile radius from Albany, GA.
• Standard work week of Monday-Friday with some overtime as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean Motor Vehicle Report.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Must have legal work status in the United States verifiable with eVerify.
• Must be able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 70 pounds chest high.
• Must be able to work in a variety of conditions including cold or hot locations, confined spaces, damp or dusty environments and more.
• Must be able to perform essential duties such as stooping, crouching, reaching, kneeling, walking, talking, standing, hearing, and using hands to grasp and finger.
• Must be able to pass state licensing test to become a registered technician in the state of Georgia.
