Additionally, Infection Control Coordinator evaluates sterilization and disinfection methods and recommends changes as necessary. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Infection Control Coordinator contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Recruitment Responsibility Highlights Active involvement in talent acquisition by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process Utilize an applicant tracking system (Healthcare Source) to manage and document activities related to applicant and hiring flow Mentor and support other facility managers in recruitment activities Prepare Recruitment and Retention plans quarterly that have measurable, attainable goals Lead weekly and monthly recruitment and retention meetings at the facility by developing agendas and following up on meeting action points Identify and cultivate innovative recruitment channels, i.e. school partnerships, clinical rounding opportunities, virtual and in-person job fairs, and community workforce development programs Collaborate with the marketing staff to develop engaging recruitment content for multiple social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok Retention Responsibility Highlights Collaborate with facility and corporate leaders to plan, develop and implement retention strategies for current employees utilizing survey tools and data to meet retention benchmarks Help oversee the planning, development, implementation of onboarding activities for newly hired employees to reduce staff turnover rates Manage daily employee survey touch points by evaluating, responding and aggregating trends to develop effective retention strategies Monitor and report turnover data for multiple positions and departments Mentor and support other facility managers in effective retention strategies Requirements Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state. Must possess a working knowledge of epidemiology, microbiology, infectious diseases and aseptic technique to include universal precautions.
