he Infection Control Coordinator is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating infection prevention and control programs within the healthcare facility by working collaboratively with healthcare teams to minimize the risk of infections and promote a safe and sanitary environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Ø

Required: Graduate of an accredited RN nursing program with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or higher. Current Colorado State or Compact Registered Nurse Licensure with active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. At least four years of hospital experience. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Must possess computer knowledge and skills. Must be detail – oriented and self-motivated. If requested, must be willing to assist in the nursing department with direct patient care during times of high census. Ø

Preferred: Minimum of two years of experience in a critical access hospital highly desirable and certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) or equivalent. National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training: ICS 100, 700, 200. Additional ICS courses recommended ICS 800, 300, 400. K
