Additionally, Infection Control Coordinator evaluates sterilization and disinfection methods and recommends changes as necessary. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Infection Control Coordinator contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Summary of Need:
    Coordinates the planning and implementation of an Infection Prevention Program designed to prevent and control the transmission of infections in the Medical Center. He/she has the authority to institute any surveillance, prevention and control measures or studies when there is reason to believe that a patient or personnel may be at risk. The coordinator works under the guidance of the manager, the Infection Prevention Committee and its chairperson. He/she assumes responsibility for infection prevention and control activities in the absence of the Manager of Infection Prevention.

    REQUIRED: Current NJ RN License and BLS.

    Monday- Friday
    8:00am-4:00pm

    Contract Length:
    13 weeks
