Infection Control Manager develops and implements infection control policies designed to reduce or eliminate outbreaks in the facility. Develops and implements facility-wide infection prevention and control measures to protect patients, staff and visitors. Being an Infection Control Manager monitors patient care for compliance with established standards and investigates known or suspected sources of infections in order to determine the source and ensure control. Develops and provides related education to staff. Additionally, Infection Control Manager complies with state, federal and Joint Commission standards relating to infection control. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Infection Control Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.   • Ultra Electronics, ICE is seeking a Quality Control Manager to join our Quality Team. This role is responsible for supervising the Quality Control Inspectors, and flow of product through final inspection to ensure product adheres to both quality standards and business objectives to meet operational plans. The ideal candidate will exercise sound judgement, will be an excellent team player, and be committed to quality work.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Plan, monitor, and supervise workflow of all quality inspection processes and procedures including but not limited to utilizing real-time metrics, assignment of job expectations to inspection team, and regular communication with appropriate parties daily to set priorities with efficiency and expediency.
    • Inspect final product under a microscope using various tools including gauges and scales, prior to shipment.
    • Notate inspection results by completing checklists, reports and logs, summarizing re-work and scrap information, and inputting data into quality database.
    • Ensure paperwork is completed as necessary, including scanning physical paperwork to the appropriate database to be electronically maintained and archived for offsite storage by quality assurance.
    • Adhere to policy and procedure requirements for compliance and contract specifications.
    • Participate as a leader in continuous improvement efforts by maintaining relevant job knowledge and attending educational opportunities.
    • Perform routine analysis of all quality inspection responsibilities, and an evaluation of applicable policies and procedures to ensure there are no gaps in efficiency within the inspection functionality.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 1 years of experience in a quality inspector role in similar or relevant industry
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain an FAA Repairman Certificate

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Supervisory experience
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) skills.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
    • Frequently lift or move 10 lbs. and occasionally lift or move 30 lbs.
    • Controlled hands dexterity for working with tweezers, soldering irons and tiny components.
    • Controlled hand-eye coordination for manipulating tiny components under a microscope.
