We are looking for a motivated Information Security Analyst to join our growing company of learn-it-all's. Duties of the Information Security Analyst include monitoring client environments for indicators of attack and indicators for compromise, and responding to detections according to our defined processes and workflows. The ideal candidate should have a growth mindset, a learn-it-all attitude, and the aptitude and desire to immerse yourself in cyber and technology and become a cyber-defender for our clients.
This is a full-time, salaried position on-site in our Asheboro, NC offices.
If you have previous experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or working with an MSP/MSSP, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, a successful Information Security Analyst at Legion will develop and hone your skills and tradecraft and become an essential member of our team, carrying out our mission to protect and defend our clients from cyber-threats.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts generated by our tools
- Investigate potential security incidents, identify root causes, and take appropriate action to contain and remediate threats.
- Analyze network traffic patterns to detect anomalies and suspicious activity.
- Provide ongoing threat intelligence to our team and customers, keeping them informed about the latest cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
- Participate in security assessments and penetration testing engagements to identify and address security weaknesses.
- Document security incidents, investigations, and resolutions following industry best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams (engineering, sales) and external clients to ensure successful incident response and security posture improvement.
Requirements
- Experience with EDR and SIEM / Logging platforms
- Solid understanding of workstation and server operating systems including Windows, Linux, macOS
- Understanding of Layer 1-3 networking fundamentals
- Effective at time management and prioritization of tasks and workload
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with scripting languages including Python, Bash, and PowerShell
- CompTIA Network and/or Security certification
- Experienced and comfortable with command line tools and interface across Windows, Linux, and macOS
- Understanding and familiarity of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP
