Mission:
Quantum is currently seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to provide the US Space Force (USSF) Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) support related to its mission to plan, task, integrate, provide Command and Control (C2), and support integrated Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR). C2 is conducted day-to-day, through reachback capabilities and deployable subject matter experts, in support of US Combatant Commanders (CCDRs). Assistance is provided via the JNWC NAVWAR support cell, coordination cells, and deployable theater coordination cells.
Responsibilities:
- Perform Information Assurance (IA) functions to support successful assessment and authorization of systems to achieve Authority to Operation (ATO), Authority to Connect (ATC) and/or Site Accreditation.
- Ability to support unclassified, collateral, and top-secret systems and classified programs.
- Documentation, assess and authorize processes using Risk Management Framework applications as directed by Authorizing Official including eMASS, Xacta, ISSO functions.
- Perform audits and reporting, and continuous monitoring of ATO, ATC and/or Site Accreditation.
- Perform Cybersecurity Liaison functions to support network users.
- Perform Incident Response. Support TEMPEST / emissions security program.
- Maintain required IT certifications and continuing education.
- Provide planning and resource support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- Experience in Government IT Team environment
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT-related field.
- Experience in cyber security and information assurance support.
- Must be certified at IAT Level II.
- Help desk support experience preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
- Must comprehend DoD requirements under Risk Management Framework and be able to apply those requirements to information systems and networks.
- Must have at least 2 years of experience in creation technical documentation reports and/or presentation.
- Must have at least 2 years of supervisory and/or team/project led experience.
- Must have and maintain appropriate DoDI 8750.01-M (Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program) certification for the appointed duty level.
Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience of which at least 3 must be specialized in configuring cyber security technical controls, developing policies and procedures, and conducting audit log reviews of information systems and/or networks.
- MS degree in a related field maybe substituted for 1 year of experience. A PHD in a related field may be substituted for an additional 2 years of experience.
