TITLE: IT Director

DEPARTMENT: Information Technology

REPORTS TO: CEO

SALARY: $104,000 to $120,000 Depending on Experience

Duties:

Responsible for managing the IT functions of the company, including IT department staff, Network Infrastructure, Network Security, Systems, Software applications, Data and Telecommunications

Ensures that the IT Systems are in-line with and will fully support the business operations, growth and objectives of the company

Monitors Network performance, troubleshoots issues and deploys cost efficient solutions resulting in 100% network uptime

Responsible for proactively planning, budgeting and implementing Network equipment upgrades, Systems upgrades and new Application installations

• Ensures prompt resolution of end user requests to the IT Helpdesk resulting in excellent internal customer support and overall efficiency across all departments
• Actively manages and minimizes all costs associated with third-party vendors i.e. Telus / AFS, Verizon and AT&T
• Evaluates new technologies to optimize Network efficiency, security and performance
• Work with end users to provide training in IT systems, and develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures as required to ensure a well-trained workforce

Manage the creation, testing, and deployment of standard reports using SSRS, SQL and Crystal tools in order to improve visibility into company data and trends

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3 years of management experience in an IT environment
• Proven experience in implementing and managing a Network infrastructure, including redundancy, disaster recovery and security
• Accounting background is a plus
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks in an ever-evolving, high-performance environment
• Expertise with current Windows operating systems. Proficient at installing, configuring and troubleshooting/solving Windows OS issues
• Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization and work in a team environment
