Information Security Director establishes and administers the overall strategies and procedures for the information security function. Develops and implements information security and disaster recovery programs in accordance with organizational information security standards. Being an Information Security Director evaluates information risk on a regular time schedule and promotes information security awareness within the organization. Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Additionally, Information Security Director typically reports to top management. The Information Security Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Information Security Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Job Description
The Information Security/Technology Risk Manager in Consumer and Business Banking (CBB) is responsible for business line adherence to enterprise Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS) policies and standards. Provides feedback to 2LOD partners on policy and standard changes, maintains an advanced understanding of the business line operations, products/services, and applications to effectively assess impacts and leads implementation. Monitors risk trends in the industry and defines strategies to address risks across the enterprise and within CBB. Hosts business line partner meetings to share important risk topics and enterprise initiatives. Represents CBB on various IT/IS working groups and advocates for the business line. Partners with application owners to ensure application metadata is accurately reflected in the Centralized Application Repository to meet compliance objectives. Facilitates creation and remediation of issues related to information technology and information security. Represents CBB on various IT/IS working groups and advocates for the business line.Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically more than eight years of applicable experience

- Advanced knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, financial services, and regulatory trends that impact their assigned line of business
- Advanced understanding of the business line’s operations, products/services, systems, and associated risks/controls
- Thorough knowledge of Risk/Compliance/Audit competencies
- Strong leadership and management skills of processes, projects and people
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Proficient computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Applicable professional certifications

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $116,280.00 - $136,800.00 - $150,480.00 U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.
