Information Security Manager is responsible for developing and managing Information Systems cyber security, including disaster recovery, database protection and software development. Manages IS security analysts to ensure that all applications are functional and secure. Being an Information Security Manager develops and delivers IS security standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise. Implements procedures and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards. Additionally, Information Security Manager migrates non-compliant environments to compliant environments. Evaluates the organization to ensure compliance with standards and relevance with industry security norms. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Manager is responsible for the administration, coordination, planning, development, direction, and implementation of the Security Program in accordance with policy and accrediting and regulatory agency requirements. This person will review and act promptly to reports from such agencies, and oversee department policies to conform to appropriate mandates and standards of expectations.
The Security Manager holds responsibility for security at Harris Regional Hospital, Swain Community Hospital and our associated physician clinics.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Education: Associate degree preferred.
Licensure and Certification: Attain AHA Basic Life Support within 30 days and maintain thereafter.
Complete Handle With Care training within 90 days and maintain thereafter.
Maintains Drivers License with a motor vehicle record acceptable to the Company's auto liability insurance carrier.
This position requires driving while on business and may require use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
Qualifications:
Experience in security, law enforcement, military or equivalent required.
Experience in security in a healthcare facility preferred. A minimum of 3 years' experience in security in a supervisory capacity is desired.
Experience in hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining quality staff.
Ability to handle typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively
Working knowledge of applicable accreditation standards and regulations impacting security programs in a healthcare environment to include: CMS, Joint Commission, HIPAA, EMTALA and OSHA.
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written), to effectively communicate with patients, patient families, staff members and executives; drafting policy and documenting investigations of incidents; and training staff members.
Ability to provide quality customer service with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Ability to make decisions and handle situations effectively.
