Threat Tec has an immediate opening for a Special Information Systems Security Technician / Security System Administrator (TS/SCI) for a position in support of TRADOC Center of Excellence activities on premises at Fort Novosel, Alabama.
Background:
Our client at the U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence and Fort Novosel requires the services of a Special Information Systems Security Technician/ Security System Administrator (TS/SCI) who will contribute and support the Army’s Training and Doctrine Command’s (TRADOC) G2 special security program. This is a sensitive position, and the Security Technician/Administrator will need to maintain the highest level of program integrity and demonstrate the importance of safeguarding our nation’s highly classified materials at all levels. This position entails working with the Special Security Officer (SSO) to ensure control of access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCI facilities (SCIF) for assigned military, Government, and contractor personnel.
The Fort Novosel Security Technician/Administrator will enhance the work of TRADOC G2’s Information System Security Officer (ISSO) by researching current policies and procedures, updating, and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensuring compliance to DoD security standards. The new hire will be relied upon to assist security personnel regarding satisfying reporting requirements and assisting with developing mitigation plans for security violations and security incidents. The Security Technician/Administrator will implement and ensure compliance with important Federal and DoD security directives, policies, and procedures, such as, the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) and DoD Instruction (DoDI) 8500.01, Cybersecurity.
The Security Technician/Administrator will work with the Fort Novosel security team to administer and manage policies and procedures associated with various information systems across the applicable boundaries to ensure seamless compliance with DoD security policies. These include stand-alone networks and client computers, NIPR and SIPR workstations, and the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS) network.
