Information Security Manager is responsible for developing and managing Information Systems cyber security, including disaster recovery, database protection and software development. Manages IS security analysts to ensure that all applications are functional and secure. Being an Information Security Manager develops and delivers IS security standards, best practices, architecture and systems to ensure information system security across the enterprise. Implements procedures and methods for auditing and addressing non-compliance to information security standards. Additionally, Information Security Manager migrates non-compliant environments to compliant environments. Job Description: Responsible for overseeing the management of the security program. This individual will work closely with the team to set goals, execute plans, and ensure the overall security posture of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the execution of the security program, including setting goals and objectives.
Form strong relationships with team members to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and development needs.
Manage relationships throughout the organization, including upwards, downwards, and laterally.
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of at least 5 staff members.
Understand and manage the technical aspects of security, including Microsoft Windows ecosystem, networking, antivirus, and EDR.
Implement and manage IT processes such as incident management, request management, problem management, and change management.
Utilize risk management techniques to assess vulnerabilities and prioritize controls.
Analyze data and provide insights to improve security measures.
Manage budgets and financial stewardship related to security initiatives.
Act as a part-time project manager when necessary to ensure project milestones are met.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
At least 7-10 years of experience in information security management.
Strong technical background, particularly in the Microsoft Windows ecosystem and networking.
Experience with risk management and analytics preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial resources.
Project management experience is a plus.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Previous experience working for a mature organization is highly preferred.
