Information Security Manager jobs in Springfield, MA

Our client is seeking an Information Security Administrator I. This position administers user access. In addition, this position will comply with new and existing security policies, procedures, and guidelines. This function includes monitoring information security implementation in existing systems to ensure that security is implemented consistent with their overall security objectives and audit requirements. Regular duties also include security event monitoring, incident response, reporting of security incidents and coordinating with technical staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Administers user security access.

• Reviews information security permissions assigned to individuals and groups to ensure appropriateness.

• Respond to customer requests for user activity information.

• Provide exceptional customer service to all present and potential customers.

• Responds to information requests in support of internal and external audit activities.

• Assists with information security incident response activities.

• Maintains current knowledge on evolving information security issues.

• Provides cross-functional support to all areas of the business operations through contributions to project teams.

• Performs duties under direct supervision.

• Assists with developing standards for security administration to be used within their and partner associations.

• Provides cross-functional assistance as needed to other operational areas of their business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in a computer related degree field preferred with a basic understanding of systems level management of Microsoft operating systems.

• Strong analytical skills combined with advanced verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
