JOB SUMMARY, DESCRIPTION & QUALIFICATIONS:
Job Summary
This individual will work with the Technical Services PC team to re-image classrooms and swap out existing computers with newly purchased computers. They will also backup employee laptops and prepare new laptops for disbursal.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Individual will assist IT with special projects.
Assistance with the Electronic Delivery setting up and monitoring the distance education interconnections.
Dismantling, moving, and relocating of computer labs which include lifting and carrying computers.
Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, and peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
Set up equipment for employee and student use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cable, operating systems, and appropriate software.
Establish and maintain an inventory including repair and replacement items in NTC's help desk software.
Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and to provide level 1 technical assistance and support.
Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to level 2 and level 3 support technicians on the Technical Services team for service.
Clean, review and handle minor equipment maintenance to ensure its operational condition.

Minimum Qualifications Required
In limited circumstances, NTC may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.

Additional Experience:
Previous experience in installing and configuring software packages and the ability to troubleshoot software, computer and printer problems is required.
Basics knowledge of computer/printer anatomy and operations and skills in work processing, databases, and IP networks are a plus.
Must be able to maintain scheduled hours, finish projects, and complete paperwork in a timely fashion.
Ability to work independently, follow directions, and work in a team environment.
