Information Technology Auditor Manager manages audit projects of information systems, platforms, and operating procedures following established policies and standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security. Coordinates resources and deliverables for annual and ongoing evaluations of IT infrastructure and establishes controls and audit procedures to identify areas of risk or non-compliance. Being an Information Technology Auditor Manager evaluates audit results and recommend improvements in current risk management controls, system implementation, and upgrade processes. Develops staff capabilities and competencies with training and coaching that reflect IT auditing best practices. Additionally, Information Technology Auditor Manager communicates overall regulatory, compliance, or operational readiness assessment results and follow-up action items to stakeholders. Coordinates external audit projects and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Technology Auditor Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Information Technology Auditor Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     SUMMARY:

    Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Information Technology Manager shall partner with our Managed Service Provider (MSP) to maintain essential IT infrastructure, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, email systems, laptops, desktops, software, and hardware. The IT Manager will be responsible for business-critical IT tasks and systems administration, in addition to researching and evaluating emerging technologies, hardware, and software.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Analyze departmental needs, identify vulnerabilities, and boost productivity, efficiency, and accuracy to inform business decisions.
    • Ensure network components work together seamlessly to meet business needs, using their full range of capabilities, and stay informed about new features and competitor solutions.
    • Analyze processes, technologies, and vendors continually to find areas for improvement.
    • Prepare cost-benefit analyses when upgrades are necessary and monitor vendors to ensure they’re offering the best possible service and value for business needs.
    • Train employees to use software and hardware; troubleshoot issues and provide technical support when needed.
    • Track and maintain hardware and software inventory.
    • Develop and execute disaster planning and maintain data backups.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Experience and Skills:

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Deep knowledge of programming languages and operating systems (ex: Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory), current equipment and technologies, enterprise backup and recovery procedures, and systems performance monitoring.
    • Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and phone systems.
    • Firm grasp on IT infrastructure and operations best practices.
    • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
    • Expertise in implementing, configuring, and testing IT solutions.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant IT management experience

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    • Ability to move about a large manufacturing facility.
    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Constantly communicating with others to exchange information.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Most of the work is performed in a typical office environment with no major sources of discomfort. Essentially a normal controlled working environment with noise levels within acceptable safety limits and acceptable lighting and temperature conditions.

    TRAVEL

    • Occasional domestic travel may be required.

    WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

    • U.S. Government Secret Level Security Clearance (ability to quickly renew prior clearance acceptable).
