Position Summary:
The Information Technology Manager administers all information technology, hardware and software, based on business needs and priorities. Primary focus is partnering with senior leadership to align technology and business strategies. Seeks to create value made possible by technology. Manages a budget and team to provide software, hardware, network, and database administration for development, operational and data acquisition services.
Essential Functions:
* Partners with leadership to determine data and system needs to support functional operations and industrial automation.
* Determines scope and priorities of projects, discusses system capacity and equipment acquisitions.
* Owns the accuracy and availability of data and response time of applications. Also owns the availability of hardware and the local area network.
* Prepares annual IT plan and budget and monitors progress and reviews variances.
* Manages the development, implementation, installation, and operation of information and automation systems.
* Develops, implements, and monitors information systems policies and controls to ensure data accuracy, security, legal, and regulatory compliance, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Compliance.
* Negotiates and contracts with consultants, technical personnel, and vendors for services and products.
* Ensures support is provided to end users in the selection, procurement, usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware. Manages computer operation scheduling, backup, storage and retrieval functions.
* Manages the assessment of computer and peripheral equipment production, malfunction, and maintenance to determine costs and impact, and address problems. Develops, maintains, and tests disaster recovery plans.
* Perform research/development concept work to test opportunities for a robust, innovative and competitive IT function.
