Information Technology Auditor Manager manages audit projects of information systems, platforms, and operating procedures following established policies and standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security. Coordinates resources and deliverables for annual and ongoing evaluations of IT infrastructure and establishes controls and audit procedures to identify areas of risk or non-compliance. Being an Information Technology Auditor Manager evaluates audit results and recommend improvements in current risk management controls, system implementation, and upgrade processes. Develops staff capabilities and competencies with training and coaching that reflect IT auditing best practices. Additionally, Information Technology Auditor Manager communicates overall regulatory, compliance, or operational readiness assessment results and follow-up action items to stakeholders. Coordinates external audit projects and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Technology Auditor Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Information Technology Auditor Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Job Duties:
The duties of an Information Technology Support Specialist include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties.
Information Technology Support Specialist are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems, and implement solutions to them.
- Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.
- Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.
- Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level.
- Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.
- Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.
- Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.
- Maintaining technical documentation of solutions provided.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Information Technology.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in computer science or related field.
- 2 years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance advantageous.
- Comptia A or the ability to acquire it within 6 months is required.
- Linux , Comptia Network or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail.
