Information Technology Auditor Manager jobs in Huntington, NY

The IT Instructional Support Technician works within the Information Technology department to assist in a variety of computer related activities and support. Computer replacement and upgrading will be a primary function performed across campus to multiple departments and offices. Desktop and laptop preparation will be expected from the initial unboxing to the setup and asset recording procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform desktop imaging and configuration.
• Assist with troubleshooting of equipment within a classroom setting.
• Setup and configure PCs and printers (labs and offices).
• Assist in asset management using the Sassafras Inventory System.
• Maintain the operational status of these resources and apply the appropriate Windows and security updates as required.
• Work with a team to implement a centralized print environment
• Assist with the implementation and configuration of a new IT Service Management System
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Prior experience with software & hardware support
• Experience with working and managing within the Sassafras Inventory System
• At least 2 years experience in imaging with Symantec Altiris
• Experience with ZoHo Manage Engine helpdesk system
• Solid problem solving and time management skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Must be a well-organized, self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in groups.
• Must be able to lift/carry 40 lbs.
• 2 prior year experience working in an educational IT setting

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite
• Mac OS experience
• Graduate of Farmingdale State College

This is a full-time UUP position.

• For the first 10 working days, beginning Friday, March 24, 2023 and ending Thursday, April 6, 2023, applications will be limited to UUP Farmingdale.

• Salary: $55,000 $3,026 in downstate location pay = $58,026 Total Annual Compensation.
