Information Technology Auditor Manager manages audit projects of information systems, platforms, and operating procedures following established policies and standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security. Coordinates resources and deliverables for annual and ongoing evaluations of IT infrastructure and establishes controls and audit procedures to identify areas of risk or non-compliance. Being an Information Technology Auditor Manager evaluates audit results and recommend improvements in current risk management controls, system implementation, and upgrade processes. Develops staff capabilities and competencies with training and coaching that reflect IT auditing best practices. Additionally, Information Technology Auditor Manager communicates overall regulatory, compliance, or operational readiness assessment results and follow-up action items to stakeholders. Coordinates external audit projects and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Technology Auditor Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Information Technology Auditor Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Campus Location: Morristown Campus (Employees are assigned to a “home” location but may occasionally or regularly be required to work at other WSCC locations.)

    Job Purpose: The purpose of this position is to teach courses in Computer Information Technology, including applications, operating systems, networking, security, and other courses. This position also includes laboratory activities and equipment maintenance, recruitment, advising, and collaboration with local business and industry representatives in the Computer Information Technology area. The instructor will teach an appropriate load of courses. Travel to other campuses and/or teaching sites may be required.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Develop, teach, and update courses in Computer Information Technology programs. 
    • Prepare course syllabi and course materials, evaluate student learning, and maintain class records. 
    • Participate in student curriculum development, recruiting, student advising, departmental and divisional meetings, and college boards and committees. 
    • Maintain and update laboratory equipment and software, and work with IET to determine hardware and software needs for classes. 
    • May perform other duties as assigned.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems, or associate’s degree and demonstrated competencies in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems.
    • Authorized Cisco Networking Academy Instructor status for Introduction to Networks (ITN) and Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials (SRWE).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems with a minimum of 18 hours of graduate courses in the discipline.
    • Experience in teaching college-level Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems courses.
    • Experience with course delivery via electronic learning management systems.
    • Experience managing and maintaining Windows server systems.
    • Experience managing and maintaining Linux server systems.
    • Experience with information security.
    • Experience with an object-oriented programming language, such as Python or C#.
    • Experience with database design and SQL.
    • Experience with web development.

    Leadership & Supervisory: This position has no supervisory responsibilities but is expected to participate as part of a team in conjunction with other Computer Information Technology faculty and as a member of the Business and Technical Education division.

    Environment & Working Conditions: Office environment is temperature-controlled with occasional fluctuations, well lit, and free from loud noises and unnecessary interruptions. Could be exposed to varying weather conditions when traveling. With multiple campuses and teaching locations, travel may be required. 

    Physical Demands (including requirements for travel or working nights/weekends/holidays):

    • Large amounts of time spent looking at computer monitors could lead to some eye strain, stress, or headache issues.
    • Should be able to lift 15 lbs.
    • Repetitive stress injuries could occur.
    • Travel to local areas may be required.
