Information Technology Auditor Manager manages audit projects of information systems, platforms, and operating procedures following established policies and standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security. Coordinates resources and deliverables for annual and ongoing evaluations of IT infrastructure and establishes controls and audit procedures to identify areas of risk or non-compliance. Being an Information Technology Auditor Manager evaluates audit results and recommend improvements in current risk management controls, system implementation, and upgrade processes. Develops staff capabilities and competencies with training and coaching that reflect IT auditing best practices. Additionally, Information Technology Auditor Manager communicates overall regulatory, compliance, or operational readiness assessment results and follow-up action items to stakeholders. BEI Construction is seeking an experienced IT professional to join their team. This role will oversee and manage day-to-day operations of the IT department and report directly to the CEO. Occasional travel to other office locations and jobsites throughout the Bay Area will be required.
Responsibilities & Duties
· Develop the organization’s IT vision and translating it into actionable goals
· Coordinate IT activities to ensure the availability of network services and data
· Direct the sourcing and implementation of new software and hardware
· Oversee major IT projects, including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages
· Run routine checks and maintain network, data security, and backup systems
· Direct IT staff recruitment and supervise IT team members
· Formulate and implement business continuity and disaster recovery plans
· Identify future challenges in the IT landscape and developing mitigation strategies
· Oversee departmental budgeting and forecasting within the organization
· Develop and implement IT policies and best practice guides for the company
· Design training programs and workshops for staff
· Identify security vulnerabilities and eliminate them with strategic solutions
· Provide regular operation system health reports to Leadership
· Identify and recommending new technology solutions
· Communicate end-user feedback and issues and proactively propose solutions
· Manage compliance on all electronic devices, company-wide
· Troubleshoot and resolve system issues
· Manage Third-Party software programs and subscriptions
· Additional duties as requested by Leadership
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience
· Minimum 7 years of prior experience required, including 3 years of management experience
· Minimum of 3-5 years hands-on experience in computer networks, network administration, and network installation
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical Skills include:
· Extensive knowledge of /experience with Microsoft applications and operating systems
· Extensive understanding of Microsoft Server and able to perform in-depth maintenance of servers
· Understanding of email systems and infrastructure and experience in Microsoft Exchange Server
· Understanding of network architecture and ability to configure routers and network hardware accordingly
· Knowledge of network cabling
· Experience in managing VMWare based server architecture and managing blade servers and SAN
· Experience in file sharing and user rights/privileges security procedures
· Experience with IP routing, VLANs, sub netting, RAS, and VPN
· Experience with imaging devices and network-based scanning
· Cisco and/or Microsoft certification desirable
