Information Technology Auditor Manager manages audit projects of information systems, platforms, and operating procedures following established policies and standards for efficiency, accuracy, and security. Coordinates resources and deliverables for annual and ongoing evaluations of IT infrastructure and establishes controls and audit procedures to identify areas of risk or non-compliance. Being an Information Technology Auditor Manager evaluates audit results and recommend improvements in current risk management controls, system implementation, and upgrade processes. Develops staff capabilities and competencies with training and coaching that reflect IT auditing best practices. Additionally, Information Technology Auditor Manager communicates overall regulatory, compliance, or operational readiness assessment results and follow-up action items to stakeholders. Coordinates external audit projects and initiatives. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Technology Auditor Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Information Technology Auditor Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Proactively manage system performance, identifying constraints, and implementing optimizations for enhanced efficiency and user experience.
  • Ensure the scalability, availability, and security of systems, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Security and Compliance:

  • Evaluate and ensure adherence to federal technology requirements for security.
  • Stay abreast of the latest security standards and best practices, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to mitigate potential risks.
  • Vendor Management:

  • Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to maintain smooth operation of outsourced IT services, such as cloud hosting and software licensing.
  • Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts, and cultivate strong relationships to maximize value and minimize risks.
  • Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective IT solutions.
  • Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a minimum of 10 years effectively managing IT operations.
  • Strong expertise in networking, server administration, databases, cloud technologies, and security operations.
  • Familiarity with security compliance requirements and project management methodologies.
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and adeptness at troubleshooting complex technical issues.
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Must be able to work on-site. 
  • Preferred Knowledge & Certifications:

  • Multiple IT certifications such as Security , CYSA , CISSP, CCNA, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, etc.
  • Knowledge of ITIL, NIST, CMMC, ITAR, and other relevant frameworks and regulations.
