Information Technology Director establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the information technology department. Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems. Being an Information Technology Director manages the research and selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Information Technology Director typically reports to a CIO. The Information Technology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Information Technology Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.      Job Summary

    As a key member of the technology & event services division, this position is responsible for all aspects of network administration including servers, desktop systems, communications hardware/software, office systems, web presence, and end user support. 

    Summary of essential job functions

    • Always make guest needs and convenience your number one priority.
    • Network administration (including backup, security management, user account management, e-mail systems including e-mail web server, internet access, office systems and applications support). 
    • Supports server, network and desktop hardware, software and applications. 
    • Annually perform technology needs analysis. 
    • Responsible for roll out of hardware and software to ensure optimal deployment of resources. 
    • Plans, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure plan. 
    • Manage assigned capital expenditure projects according to agreed upon budgets and schedules from management. 
    • Maintain communication equipment & services (including phone system, cellular, & radios)
    • Assist with technology planning through ongoing research of new IT related developments. 
    • Provide end-users support and training for general software utilized at Shocco Springs. 
    • Assist with the technical side of maintaining website, social media and other IT related outlets, as needed.
    • Maintain sign making software and hardware.
    • Complete sign making projects as agreed upon with supervisor.

    Job Related

    • A minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Job experience in related field. College diploma and certification(s) preferred in information technology or related field.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of graphics software for sign making and web development.
    • Demonstrated knowledge of Windows servers and desktop products.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of VMware servers in a purely virtualized environment. 
    • Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users utilizing best security practices. 
    • Demonstrated ability to administer all aspects of a 250 node network. 
    • Demonstrated ability to support networked printers and photocopiers. 
    • Demonstrated knowledge of sign making process.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies. 
    • Ability to orient and train new staff to Shocco utilized software. 
    • Ability to negotiate hardware/software service and technical support contracts with vendors. 
    • Ability to manage multiple projects, activities and tasks simultaneously. 
    • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.

    Physical 

    • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours weekly at desk locations and computer terminal locations.
    • Ability to work non-traditional work hours as required by needs of organization.
    • Ability to abstain from use of tobacco products, alcoholic beverages and controlled substances.
    • Ability to operate company vehicles.
    • Ability to lift a 50 pound object, carry it 100 feet and place it on a 4 foot high platform.
