Information Technology Director establishes, plans, and administers the overall policies and goals for the information technology department. Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems. Being an Information Technology Director manages the research and selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Information Technology Director typically reports to a CIO. The Information Technology Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Job Description

    This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Director of Information Technology will be primarily responsible in planning, developing, and implementing processes and procedures to achieve strategic goals. Critical responsibilities will include ensuring all aspects of IT and networking comply with industry best practices, regulatory and federal laws while providing expertise in the department.

    Qualifications

    1.Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent is required.

    2.Minimum five (5) years related experience, including supervisory experience.

    3.Experience in CRM database is required, Daxko Operations System is preferred.

    4.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required with the ability to become familiar with organization-specific computer programs and software. Experience in administering and supporting the following:

    • Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems
    • Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
    • Microsoft 365 Office Suite, Teams, Exchange, SharePoint
    • Wired and wireless networking protocols and infrastructure

    5.Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving skills, and customer service skills.

    6.Excellent independent judgement and discretion when dealing with sensitive materials and confidential information.

    7.Ability to relate and communicate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.

    Essential Functions

    1.Establish and maintain information technology and functionality for the organization.

    2.Lead and train the organization’s users of the IT systems.

    3.Provide system administration, reporting, and technical support.

    4.Create and maintain technical and process documentation to ensure efficiency and continuous improvement.

    5.Schedule the procurement and installation of technology related to current organizational needs and future projects.

    6.Comply with all federal, state and insurance regulatory compliance laws to ensure the safety of the company’s assets, including but not limited to PCI DSS, cyber-security training, etc.

    7.Demonstrates relationship building behavior in all interactions through Listen First providing a customer obsessed experience.

    8.Adhere to and enforce the confidential information held within the various systems. This includes, but is not limited to membership lists, financial information, and computer and building security information.

    9.Troubleshoot users and systems to provide timely solutions to ensure downtime is minimal.

    10.Accept additional assignments as deemed appropriate, within the scope of the job description.
