A firm in Orange County is seeking a Director of Information Technology to support the Firm’s partners, clients and others within the Firm with our Information Technology needs. Candidates must be customer service oriented, flexible and highly committed to quality, teamwork and supporting Firm and department goals in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and duties include:
- Managing and supervising employees in the IT team.
- Overseeing all IT operations and infrastructure.
- Provide strategic and development direction and oversight for the design, development, operation and support of development and production systems and programs, including application management, security and risk management, and infrastructure and operations support management.
- Ensuring the maintenance of current projects and optimal health of technology systems.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects in line with organizational objectives.
- Identifying vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement.
- IT change management, compliance and meeting audit requirements.
- Building and maintaining relationships with external advisors and vendors.
- Implement metrics, monitoring, and processes to assess system and infrastructure performance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or a technical field.
- 9 -12 years of progressively responsible experience in information technology.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience managing an information technology organization.
- Legal industry experience preferred.
- IT System design, implementation, administration and documentation experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles and practice, and a good understanding of business goals and objectives.
- Requires a broad working knowledge of the applications programming development function.
- Skill to design, develop and maintain software, using established best practices.
- Experience with SQL, C#, APS, APS.net, and SSRS. Experience with Crystal Reports or replacing Crystal Reports is a plus.
- Knowledge of software maintenance techniques. Experience with general software utilities such as text editors, text formatters, compilers, and debuggers.
- Knowledge of computer communications mechanisms.
- Demonstrated skill to set priorities and resolve competing demands.
- Thorough knowledge of subject area sufficient for strategic planning, technology assessment and direction.
- Demonstrated skill in successfully managing technical staff including the ability to manage, mentor, and motivate.
- Experience in the management of ongoing technology infrastructure acquisition and expansion, including the identification and integration of suitable emerging technologies.
- Thorough knowledge of technical concepts and basic operating principles of data communications, computer hardware, vendor IT products, and software.
- Skill in budgeting and procurement in an information technology environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present technical topics to individuals and groups with potentially varied levels of technical sophistication.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of service delivery principles.
- Working knowledge of security techniques and procedures.
- Working knowledge of TCP/IP and related network protocols, networking, and distributed computing environment concepts.
- Demonstrated skill in directing Unix/Linux and Windows system administration standards, practices and techniques in an integrated, heterogeneous, networked computing environment, and in maintaining required security, reliability, and functionality.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft O365.
- Proficiencies with MS Office tools (Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing and walking ; sitting for up to four hours at a time; bending and stooping as needed.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
