  • The City of Ventura is seeking applications for the position of Information Technology Infrastructure Manager.

    As the Information Technology Infrastructure Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in our organization, reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. In this key position, you'll oversee and coordinate the operations of the City's Information Technology Infrastructure Division as well as the Customer Support/Help Desk Team.

    Managing Citywide data communication networks and various infrastructure sections within the Information Technology Department, your responsibilities will include spearheading projects for data networks, maintaining network infrastructures, ensuring internet access, implementing email systems, training staff in network computing functions, troubleshooting data access issues for departments, and overseeing security systems to ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures. 

    Ensuring all departments receive outstanding information technology support and customer service, you will also be championing the adoption of best practices in incident/problem/change management to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtimes, and improve overall service quality for staff, departments and stakeholders.

    This recruitment will follow the below timeline.

    • Week of May 13, 2024  - Department Selection Interviews are tentatively scheduled for this date.  Qualifying candidates will be notified by email if they are invited to the panel interview process.
    • May 27, 2024– Candidates will be notified of the outcome of the interview by this date.

    SALARY AND BENEFITS 
    The City offers a total compensation package that includes both a generous salary and other benefits!
     
    • SALARY: $122,339.57 - $163,937.49 Annually DOQ

    WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO QUALIFY

    A combination of education, training, and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, mathematics, or a related field, 
    and six years of professional-level experience providing PC hardware and software support of multi-vendor and multi-platform systems, including experience designing, implementing, and supporting multi-protocol networks and infrastructure.   

    Two years of administrative and supervisory responsibility is required.
     
    Certificates: Possession of Certified Information Systems Security Professional - Architecture (CISSP) is highly desirable.

    License: Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid California driver license.
