Information Technology Manager manages all IT activities in the organization. Implements and maintains the policies and goals for the IT department to support the company's needs. Being an Information Technology Manager ensures proper information system operations and plans necessary upgrades. Oversees the internal IT support function. Additionally, Information Technology Manager conducts research and recommends the selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Technology Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Information Technology Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     To assist Information Technology by providing administrative support for the department as needed and assist with special projects to ensure smooth departmental operations.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Record Retention Coordination
    • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
    • Interact professionally and effectively with other employees, customers and contractors.
    • Work effectively individually and as a team contributor on assignments.
    • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.
    • Work to provide customers (internal and external) with helpful, knowledgeable, enthusiastic "concern for their needs" service to ensure their highest level of customer satisfaction.
    • Perform research and analysis on projects as assigned
    • Database entry and maintenance
    • Assist with maintaining IT asset tracking / inventory
    • General administrative functions to support the IT department
    • Direct Support – Organizing, Typing, Schedules and Filing
    • Order Office and Break Room Supplies

     

    Qualifications:

    The individual should possess all or most of the following knowledge, skills and abilities in order to perform this position in a satisfactory manner, reasonable accommodations can and will be made for individuals that demonstrate core skills, but might have physical limitations that can be compensated for using some other combination of skills and abilities or the modification of non-core job requirements.

    • Proficient in use of MS Excel, MS Access and MS Word, or similar software.
    • Proficient in use of Abacus, Visual One, RAS or similar software.
    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Ability to use calculator with reasonable speed and accuracy.
    • Ability to analyze reports and exercise prudent judgment and decision-making.
    • Ability to read, write and speak English and to communicate effectively.
    • Ability to sit in one place for extended periods of time.
    • Ability to lift and carry a 20-pound box.
    • Eligible to be bonded.
    • Satisfactory credit status.
    • Satisfactory background check.

     

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Education: College Degree
    • Experience: Three plus years experience in an administrative function with IT aspects.

     

    Language Skills                                           

    Must be able to comprehend the English language in order to communicate with co-workers and fully understand job assignments.

    Attendance, Appearance and Conduct:

    Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ocean Reef Club from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Associates with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

     

    Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry and report deadlines, associate may be required to work varying schedules to meet the business needs of the Club and report deadlines.

     

    Proper grooming is required by all associates and is described in detail in the Associates Handbook. Associates should review this policy and make sure that at all times they present themselves for shifts looking clean, neat and professional. 

     

    As a condition of employment, all associates agree to fully comply with Ocean Reef Club rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Club facilities. Associates who violate Club rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
