Information Technology Manager manages all IT activities in the organization. Implements and maintains the policies and goals for the IT department to support the company's needs. Being an Information Technology Manager ensures proper information system operations and plans necessary upgrades. Oversees the internal IT support function. Additionally, Information Technology Manager conducts research and recommends the selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Information Technology Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Information Technology Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position Summary:

    The IT Technician will have fundamental knowledge of common operating systems, hardware, software, networking, and strong written and verbal communication skills. They will help to deploy and maintain end-user equipment such as desktops, laptops, cellphones, tablets, and other devices. They will help to clean, organize, and maintain common IT areas, as well as maintain inventory levels.

     

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    IT Technician is a full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt/hourly position. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8 am-5 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.  This position is full-time onsite position, no remote work.  

    Travel:
    Travel is not typical for this position.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    IT Technician position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

     

    Minimum Qualifications:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.     • Ability to install and configure common hardware and software components
    • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and other end-user issues
    • Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and other common business software
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
    • Comfortable with climbing ladders and working above floor level.
    • Must be able to work mornings, nights, and weekends as job duties demand.
    • Maintain a high standard of communication, organization, and troubleshooting skills.
    • Must maintain the utmost confidentiality.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support to office staff and remote workers for hardware, software, networking, and telephony issues.
    • Deploy, upgrade, and repair workstations and other end-user devices for office and remote staff.
    • Keep IT areas organized and clean.
    • Maintain and organize IT inventory.
    • Assist the rest of the IT team with other tasks and projects, as necessary.
    • Affirm and adhere to Sonic's confidentiality policies and procedures.

    The IT team represents a diverse group of products and services; therefore, we are tasked with reacting to many situations simultaneously, and the pace is very fast and requires multitasking on a daily basis.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

     

    Pay Scale:

    Min: $23/hour        Max $28/hour
