Information Technology Supervisor supervises employees of the information technology department in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Ensures proper functioning of the organization's information systems and makes upgrades as necessary. Being an Information Technology Supervisor helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency. Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs. Additionally, Information Technology Supervisor follows appropriate programming procedures. Responds to complex, escalated matters and ensures projects are conducted effectively and recommendations and reports are accurate and timely. A level II supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations of group. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Information Technology Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. This vacancy is for a technical position within the Division of Regulatory & Utility Services in the Information Technology Department (ITD). It is for an IT Software Developer within the Systems Support unit. This unit supports highly complex, mission critical .Net based applications and vendor packages with various interfaces, both internal and external to the County. The IT Software Developer will be responsible for business processes and the impact of modifications to any of the above-mentioned applications. This position entails working cooperatively and professionally with technical staff, customers and with other members of the team.
Experience with the following is preferred:
C#; ASP.NET; ADO.NET; VB; .NET framework V4 and above; HTML5/CSS and responsive UI; JavaScript's framework, MVC architecture; Web Services and XML, SQL Server 2010 or higher to include SQL Reporting Services, and Crystal Reports.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor s degree. Two years of experience in software development and systems analysis are required. Additional related work experience in software development and systems analysis may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.
