Information Technology Supervisor supervises employees of the information technology department in accordance with organizational policies and goals. Ensures proper functioning of the organization's information systems and makes upgrades as necessary. Being an Information Technology Supervisor helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency. Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet organizational needs. Additionally, Information Technology Supervisor follows appropriate programming procedures. Responds to complex, escalated matters and ensures projects are conducted effectively and recommendations and reports are accurate and timely. A level II supervisor has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day-to-day operations of group. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Information Technology Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.     In this fast-paced, high energy environment where information system operation is essential, how do we ensure our Information Technology (IT) systems are kept up and running smoothly? As an Information Technology Systems Support Supervisor, you will oversee a team of System Support Analysts who are responsible for supporting over 700 desktop computers to keep our systems running smoothly. You will also lead the installation of upgrades and service packs and assist in providing top-notch customer service to end users. While carrying out the job duties listed below, you will contribute to our continued success by demonstrating unsurpassed guest service, a high level of integrity and ethical standards, and personal and professional dedication to our Mission, Vision, and Values.


    Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)

    • Oversee the day to day operations of the Help Desk, including but not limited to delegating tasks effectively, resolving escalated issues, and providing guidance as a subject matter expert.
    • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include but are not limited training team members; scheduling and motivating team members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints; and resolving problems.
    • Supervise the installation of upgrades and service packs and the overall maintenance needs for over 700 desktop personal computers.
    • Oversee and support the setup of all desktop computers including but not limited to configuration images, installation of software applications, email, and file locations.
    • Document, file, and maintain master copies of all desktop procedures for application installations, upgrades, and images.
    • Respond to emergency after hours calls to resolve issues and problems as needed.
    • Assist in resolving hardware and software issues, providing technical support to end users, and maintaining all internal hardware, software, and other paraphernalia for in-house networked desktop computers.
    • Review all desktop operational and maintenance projects with Information Technology management on a regular basis.
    • Maintain current knowledge of all aspects of infrastructure technology.
    • Ensure full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    • A high school diploma and 4 years of progressively responsible, related experience are required. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology can take the place of 1 year of experience.
    • Six months of supervisory experience is preferred.
    • CompTIA A certification preferred.
    • Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with wide area networks and computer operating systems, hardware, software, and components required.
    • The ability to use strong organization skills and attention to detail to accurately handle multiple job duties and projects in a fast-paced environment.
    • The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
    • The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally, including the ability to speak in front of small groups.
    • The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move for prolonged periods of time in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member will be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with assistance. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Working Conditions

    The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free. While performing the duties of this job, the team member occasionally works in enclosed spaces and may occasionally be required to drive a personal vehicle.
