Injection Molding Machine Operator sets up and operates injection molding machinery to shape plastics. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Injection Molding Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Injection Molding Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience
●Experience working in the plastics molding industry with hands on experience
●Experience in manufacturing process and environment
Knowledge
●Familiar with TS 16949 requirements
●Familiar with Industry Safety Standards
●Assertive, confident personality, self-motivated, leader
●People oriented (pro-active, good interpersonal and communication skills).
●Competent PC Skills (Windows, Excel, Word)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
●Assist quality and manufacturing with any customer concerns.
●Provide training to supervisors and production operators.
●Ensure proper initial set-up and process verification.
●Support machine process, make process adjustments within tolerance and recommend any change for improved efficiencies.
●Continually monitor all processes related to injection compression molding.
●Ensure all process parameters are met to manufacture parts to the quality standards including first piece approvals and last shots.
●Establish manufacturing process for new tooling.
●Perform D.O.E. and capability studies to root cause troubleshoot potential quality concerns.
●Update and improve existing machine technology, reviewing future drawings &programs for manufacturing feasibility.
●Assist manufacturing in the launch of new programs or sampling of new materials and equipment, and development of new processes, as well as development and implementing training programs.
●Flexible with temporary shift assignments so all shifts are supported.
●Responsibilities include all; but are not limited to only those listed above.
