Overview :

The Machine Operator lvl 2 will use different equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging and other steps along the production process.

A Machine Operator is expected to safely operate machinery and power tools.

Duties & Responsibilities :

• Employees must understand and follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
• Maintain good workstation housekeeping.
• Produce with quality and efficiency securing shipments go out on or before committed date.
• Perform autonomous maintenance (Cutting area equipment)
• Operate panel saw for undercuts of door width and length.
• Operate re-rail / re-style equipment (Power Matic Shaper, planner, router, belt sander)
• Operate miter saw.
• Operate KVAL Door machine.
• Provide training to new employees as required.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• Successful candidates have shown a good performance record
• Working knowledge and experience of production flow and processes
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).

Physical Requirements :

• Lift 1-30# frequently (up to 50% in an 8-hour day)
• Lift 30-60# regularly (up to 30% in an 8-hour day)
• Lift 60 # occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
• Push / Pull 100# with assistance seldom (up to 13% in an 8-hour day)
• Kneel occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
• Squat occasionally (up to 25% in an 8-hour day)
• Work with extended arms seldom (up to 13% in an 8-hour day)
• Stand in one spot for long periods

Education & Experience :

• A High School Diploma or GED certificate
• 2 years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience working with Woodworking equipment a plus.
