The Injection Molding Technician is responsible for all aspects of the Injection Molding processes including.

changing out molds, completing setups, troubleshooting, operation, and maintenance of injection molding equipment.

Essential Job Function:

Oversee mold and material changing process and ensure that all aspects of the production meet the required standards. This includes setting up mold changes, ensuring that housekeeping standards are met, and making adjustments as necessary to ensure that the molded parts meet the necessary requirements. Train and coach machine operators to ensure that they are following proper procedures and adhering to all safety, quality, and work rules and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Able to make significant process changes to the machine to produce good parts independently of using
• set-up book to achieve maximum results.
• Independent tool change including set-up of auxiliary equipment such as hot runners and watering.
• Work with Operations Manager to implement strategies to improve overall efficiency of the department.
• Work with robots and end of arm tooling.
• Perform SPC inspections to ensure parts are conforming.
• Troubleshoot equipment: Conveyors, sprue pickers, thermolators, and hot runner controllers.
• Run operations as necessary to fill in for absenteeism.
• Assist in the training and development of team members.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• RJG or Paulson Training, preferably
• Master Molder Certificate, preferably
• 2-5 years of experience in a similar type of position working in the plastics Industry; injection molding processes
• Proficient skills in reading, writing and math are necessary.
• Strong mechanical abilities & knowledge- preferably in the plastics Industry, with experience in Injection Molding
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; very detail-oriented
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong communication skills interacting with all levels of a company’s hierarchy.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.64 - $25.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Plastics injection molding: 5 years (Required)
• RJG or Paulson Training: 1 year (Required)
• auxiliary equipment such as hot runners and watering: 3 years (Required)
• Troubleshoot Conveyors, sprue pickers, thermolators: 3 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Molder Certification (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

• Hebron, KY 41048: Relocate before starting work (Required)
