Injection Molding Machine Operator jobs in Lawrence, MA
Injection Molding Machine Operator sets up and operates injection molding machinery to shape plastics. Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position, and secure machinery. Being an Injection Molding Machine Operator adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion. May have to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty. Additionally, Injection Molding Machine Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Injection Molding Machine Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. We are looking for Injection Mold Machine Operators to join our team at the Newburyport plant. This facility is located at 15 Malcolm Hoyt Drive.
Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
Pay: $17.85 per hour
$500 retention bonus after 6 months
The Injection Mold Machine Operator runs a machine that injects material into a specialized mold, removes the finished product and discards waste. This position may also assist with inspection of manufactured parts and some light assembly and sub-assembly.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manual operation of injection molding machines
- Recording molded part quantities into the job tracking system
- Reporting quality or mechanical issues
- Inspecting parts for defects or non-conformance
- Weighing production batches
- Documentation for quality assurance
Qualifications and Skills
- Read and understand manufacturing documents
- Basic math and calculation skills
- Use logic and reason to identify alternative solutions to problems
- Can work overtime, as needed
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Company offers medical, dental, and vision insurance plus 401K.
